HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF CHENNAI-

The Chennai city has been present since the time immemorial. The city is about 400 years old and is also the 36th metropolitan city all across the world. Chennai was outlined by palm trees. The city was ruled by all the well-known dynasties of South India such as the Pallavas, the Cholas, the Pandyas and the Vijaynagar kingdom. The Portuguese constructed a port known as Sao Tome. The Dutch were settled near Pulicat. Chennai appeared as a leading urban location and naval base during British rule. The British had established Fort St. Geoge. When India got independence in 1947, the city was declared the capital of the Madras state was known as Tamil Nadu in 1969.

  1. Reach the city in the morning and have breakfast such as  idli and dosa with filter coffee. Then moved to the shopping places like T. Nagar and Pondy Bazar. Head out to the Marina or Besant Nagar Beach.
  2. Further, checking out the Government Museum, the Birla Planetarium and the Guindy National Park. Look the huge green campus of IIT- Madras.
  3. Visit the temples of chennai. Enjoy the movies in the multiplexes with South Indian cuisines. After that have voyage to the North India Chennai also.
