The Hanging Gardens of Babylon was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. There was a series of gardens containing trees, shrubs and many more. The gardens were like a large green mountain.
They were earlier to have been built in the ancient city of Babylon near Hillah, Babil province. The writing of berossus had attributed the gardens to the Neo-Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II.
Nebuchadnezzar II built the Hanging Gardens for his Queen Amytis. He has built a grand palace to be known as “The Marvel of the Mankind”.
The Hanging Gardens were mythical. They were found in ancient Greek and Roman writers including Strabo, Diodorus Siculus, and Quintus Curtius Rufus reflects an eastern garden.
