The zoo has a wonderful atmosphere on a sunny day when lots of people are around us. A couple of animals from the different continents really made it seem ‘exotic.’ There were very handy shelters dotted around the zoo which were extremely useful . A great day out with children and adults. It was enjoyable seeing the animals and learning about them. The enclosures are very natural and the animals are very close to view.

Falcons are birds of prey. With their long, pointed wings, falcons are fast and agile flyers. They use their beaks to dispatch their prey. They live in most temperate regions of the planet. They will eat small birds, and rodents. They have thin tapered wings that enable them to fly at high speed and to change direction rapidly. The peregrine falcon is one of the fastest birds in the world.

Foxes are mid-sized members of the dog family, Canidae. It is the most widespread species of fox is the red fox. It is found throughout North America and Europe. Most foxes have relatively large ears that stand up straight and long bushy tails. They live in dens during the winter. They eat small rodents, such as mice and rats.

Flying fish can be seen jumping out of warm ocean waters worldwide. They average 7 to 12 inch in length and have pectoral fins that compare in size with the wings of birds.
