Who doesn’t love watching animals? 

To hit and tour a zoo is a wildlife-rich experience for children. While visiting you’re encouraging your child to touch an animal, ask them to describe how the animal feels. Does the animal feel hot or cold? Bumpy or Smooth? Wet or Dry?

Babirusa

Type: mammal
Diet: omnivore
The Average lifespan: 10 years
The Body Mass: 90kg for a babirusa male and 60 kg for a babirusa female

Babirusas are members of the pig family, Suidae. They are found in Indonesia. It is estimated to be about 4000 of these animals presently living in the wild.

Baboon

Type: Mammal
Diet: Omnivore
The Average lifespan: 30 years
The Body Dimensions: Head and body, 20 to 34 in (60 to 86 cm); Tail, 16 to 23 in (41 to 58 cm)
The Body Mass: 33 to 82 lbs (22 to 37 kg)
Group: Troop

These baboons use at least ten different and unique vocalizations to communicate with other members of the troop. There are five species of baboon. They are found in Africa and Western Asia. They are some of the world’s largest monkeys.

Bald Eagle


Type: Bird
Diet: Carnivore
The Average lifespan: Up to 28 years
The Body Dimensions: Body, 34 to 43 in (86 to 109 cm); Wingspan, 6 to 8 ft (1.8 to 2.4 m)
The Body Mass: 6.5 to 14 lbs (3 to 6.5 kg)

There is a largest bald eagle nest on record was 9.5 feet (3 meters) wide and 20 feet (6 meters) high. It weighed more than two tons.They  are unique to North America. They are found near rivers, lakes, and coasts. They make a high-pitched squeaking sound.

Beluga Whale

Type: Mammal
Diet: Carnivore
The Average lifespan: 35 to 50 years
The Body Dimensions: 13 to 20 ft (4 to 6.1 m)
The Body Mass: 2,000 to 3,000 pounds (907 to 1,361 kilograms)
Group: Pod


In contrast to most other whales, the beluga has a flexible neck that enables it to turn its head in all directions. They are marine mammals. There is a large bump on a Beluga’s head is the ‘melon’. They are common in the Arctic Ocean’s coastal waters.


Beaver


Type: Mammal
Diet: Herbivore
The Average lifespan: Up to 24 years
The Body Dimensions: Head and body, 23 to 39 in (60 to 100 cm); Tail, 7.75 to 12 in (20 to 30.5 cm)
The Body Mass: 60 lbs (27 kg)
Group: Colony

The beaver comes under  the second largest rodent in the world. They prefer to eat leaves, bark, twigs, roots, and aquatic plants.They are keystone species that help create wetland ecosystems.
