Junco

Size: they are an average size of 5–6.5 in (13–17 cm).
Weight: weigh around 18 to 30 g
Group: Flock

The junco is also known as the snowbird and is closely related to the sparrow. can be found in a variety of colors, but mostly found in a shade of grey. They are about 15 cm (6 inches) long. They are found in the United States, northern Mexico and Canada. They enjoy to eat insects like bugs and caterpillars.

Jaguar

Type: Mammal
Diet: Carnivore
Average lifespan: 12 to 15 years
Size: Head and body, 5 to 6 ft (1.5 to 1.8 m); Tail, 27.5 to 36 in (70 to 91 cm)
Weight: 100 to 250 lbs (45 to 113 kg)

The Jaguar looks like a leopard. It is a stout, powerful, big-headed animal. Some jaguars are so dark they appear to be spotless, though their markings can be seen on closer inspection.They are found in watery habitats such as swampland and flooded forests throughout central and northern South America. They eat larger animals such as deer, peccaries, capybaras, and tapirs. They sometimes climb trees to prepare killing their prey with one powerful bite.

Jackal

Diet: Omnivorous/scavenger
Size: 15 to 20 inches at the shoulder
Weight: 15 to 35 pounds
Lifespan: 10 to 12 years
Habitat: Open and wooded savanna

The jackal is drabber in color, has a white tip on the tail and indistinct stripes along the sides of the body. They lives in open savannas, deserts and arid grasslands. Fur color includes golden, ginger and reddish brown. They eat reptiles, insects, ground-dwelling birds, fruits, berries and grass. They are very cunning and resourceful.

Jellyfish are boneless animals that float freely through the world’s oceans. They prey on a kinds of aquatic animals such as small fish. The body of a jellyfish is bell-shaped with a mouth on the underside. They are eaten by humans, sharks, squid and birds.

Jabiru

Type: Bird
Diet: Carnivore
Size: Wingspan, 122–140 cm, 230-280 cm across the wings
Group: Flock

The Jabiru is the tallest flying bird found in South America and Central America. The plumage is mostly white, but the head and upper neck are featherless and black, with a featherless red stretchable pouch at the base. They are found in the Americas from Mexico to Argentina. They eat reptiles and small mammals.
