Koala is a marsupial, or pouched mammal. Their thick, wool-like fur is the perfect camouflage. The gray to light brown color matches the bark of eucalyptus trees. Their fur is so thick and cushiony that koalas can sit on pointy branches for hours . They are found in the large eucalyptus forests of eastern Australia.
King Penguin
Type: bird
Diet: omnivore
Average lifespan: around 20 years
Size: 95cm (3.1ft) high
Weight: on average they are around 15kg (33lb)
Group: colony
King Penguins are the second largest penguins in the world. It lay only one egg. The males are taller and heavier than the females. Their back is silvery black and the front is white. They have tall slender bodies and long dark yellow bills. They live on the on sub-Antarctic islands. They eat small fish like lantern fish. They also eat crustaceans, krill and squid. They can dive 15 minutes or even more.
Kestrel

Size: 25-35cm, with a wingspan of 60-65cm
Weight: 140-200g
Kestrels are birds of prey that hover in the air to spot and catch their prey. They have very sharp claws and a sharp beak. They can see ultra-violet light. Their legs are thin and yellow with sharp talons to grab their prey. They have brown or black eyes. They are found in Europe, north as Alaska and Canada. They can see beetles as far as 50 metres away.
Kiwi
Type: Bird
Diet: Omnivore
Average lifespan: up to 40 years
Size: 45 cm
Weight: 3.3 kg
Group: Flock
The Kiwi is a unique bird. It has brown-greyish hair-like feathers, no tail, and strong legs. They use their nostrils to sniff out their food and their beak to dig in the ground. They eat worms, spiders, bugs, grubs, crayfish, frogs, and eels. They also eat fruits, roots, berries, and native plants. They are found in New Zealand. It is the only bird in the world with nostrils at the end of its beak.

The oldest is said to have lived 226 years.

Koi fish are referred to as “swimming flowers” and “living jewels”. They are very large fish, that look like stretched-out goldfish. They have a total of five fins and a large tail. They have been found in China, Japan, and Korea. They also eat large quantities of algae and plants.
