HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF BHUJ-
Bhuj derives its name from the Bhujia fortress. The city of Bhuj was founded by the local ruler Maharao Hamir. Jadeja Rajput rulers Bhuj important as a city than it was. Bhuj was made the capital during the reign of Rao Khengarji I. During the British rule, Bhuj remained an independent princely state. Bhuj’s history from the monuments and the “havelis” . The elegance of the majestic Jadeja Dynasty that ruled over Bhuj from the palaces and the “havelis” that were built.
