Tea is a beverage crop. The tea plant grows in the tropical and sub-tropical climates with fertile soil. Tea bushes require warm climate throughout the year. It is a labour-intensive industry. Tea is processed in the tea garden for its freshness.


Why is International Tea Day celebrated?


International Tea Day has been celebrated on December 15 every year in tea producing countries such as  Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Uganda, India and Tanzania.International Tea Day objectives is to highlights  global attention of governments and citizens to the consequences of the global tea trade on workers and growers.It has been significant to requests for price supports and fair trade. The first International Tea Day was celebrated in 2005. International Tea Day celebrations and the  Global Tea Conferences have been organized by trade union movements.

Tea is exported in large amounts from India. India accounts for 31% of global production of tea. India has been producing tea for the last 150 years. The tea leaves from Darjeeling and Assam have their own rich aroma.

Kazi Kazi Tea is a tea brand in Bangladesh. It is a product of Gemcon Group of Bangladesh from the Tea Estate in Panchagar district in North Bengal. It is known as Teatulia in USA. Teatulia is a tea company in Denver, Colorado.It is named after the Tetulia region in Northern Bangladesh  where they grow and produce their teas. It is the first USDA-certified organic tea garden in Bangladesh. It is the first tea in the USA that is imported from Bangladesh. It  had produced over 700,000 pounds of tea every  year.
