Uakari
Type: Mammal
Diet: Herbivore
Average lifespan: 15 to 20 years
Size: 14 to 22.5 in (36 to 57 cm)
Weight: 4.4 to 6.6 lbs (2 to 3 kg)
Group: Troop
Protection status: Endangered
This unique South American monkey is easily recognizable, due to its bald head, and red face.They have very short tails, but move nimbly in the trees without them by using their arms and legs. These monkeys live only in the Amazon River basin. They eat a fruit-heavy diet. Their powerful jaws can open a hardy Brazil nut.
Upupa
Upupa are colourful birds found across Africa, Asia, and Europe. Their diet are composed of insects, small reptiles, frogs and plant such as seeds and berries. This is an attractive fawn-coloured bird, with black-and-white markings on its back, wings and tail. It has a prominent fan-shaped crest, tipped with black, and a long, slender, gently curved bill.
Umbrella Bird
Umbrella birds are found in rainforests of South America. They are almost entirely black, and have a conspicuous crest on the top of their head.They feed on fruits, large insects and occasionally small vertebrates.
Urial
The urial is a wild sheep native to Central and South Asia. They have large horns, curling outwards from the top of the head turning in to end somewhere behind the head. The horns of the males are up to 100 cm (39 in) long. The shoulder height of an adult male urial is between 80 and 90 cm (31 and 35 in). It prefers grassland, open woodland and gentle slopes, but also inhabits cold arid zones with little vegetation.
