Wallabies are members of the kangaroo. They are found in Australia and on nearby islands. They are small to medium-sized mammals. They have powerful hind legs they use to bound along at high speeds and jump great distances. 

Weasel

Type: Mammal
Diet: Omnivore
Size: 22-38cm (8.6-15in)
Weight: 120-198g (4.2-7oz)
Top Speed: 25km/h (15mph)
Life Span: 2-5 years
Lifestyle: Solitary

The weasel is a small, thin mammal. They belongs to the animals such as ferrets,stoats and polecats. They have a long-shaped body and pointed snout. They are found all around the world apart from the Arctic and Australia. They prey on small animals such as mice, birds and baby rabbits. 

Woodpecker

Type: Bird
Diet: Omnivore
Size: 8-58cm (3-23in)

Weight: 7-600g (0.2-21oz)
Top Speed: 24km/h (15mph)
Life Span: 6-11 years
Lifestyle: Solitary

The woodpecker has a distinctive long beak. The Gray Slaty woodpecker from south east Asia is the largest living woodpecker in the world. They are found on every continent with the exception of the polar regions, Australia and Madagascar. They eats seeds, berries, fruits, nuts and bugs. They are able to peck so much and move it’s head so quickly without getting a headache due to the air pockets that help to cushion their brain.

Wildebeest

Type: Mammal
Diet: Herbivore

Size: Up to 4.5 ft (1.4 m)
Weight: 330 to 550 lbs (150 to 250 kg )
Group: Herd

The head of the wildebeest is large and box-like and both males and females have curving horns. The front end of the body is heavily built, the hindquarters slender and the legs spindly. The coat is gray and has a black mane and a beard. They occupy the plains and acacia savannas of eastern Africa. 

Walrus

Type: Mammal
Diet: Carnivore
Size: 2.5-3.6m (8-12ft)
Weight: 800-2,000kg (0.9-2.2tons)
Top Speed: 35km/h (21.7mph)
Life Span: 40-50 years
Group: Herd

Walruses have enlarged upper canine teeth, or tusks. It is a large marine mammal that has flippers to help it swim. They are found in the colder waters of the Northern Hemisphere. They will hunt fish, seals and young whales.
