BYJU’S Magic Workbook. What’s so magical about it? It is a hybrid learning solution designed especially for kids in Nursery (Pre-kindergarten) through Grade-3. It is a brilliant combination of real world workbooks, an Osmo device and a mobile application. The workbook helps kids learn math, vocabulary, basics of science and more.
How does the BYJU’S Magic Workbook Work?
You can use the BYJU’S learning app on its own without the workbook or an Osmo device. You need to purchase the BYJU’S Learning app’s premium kit to combine the application with real-world workbooks and the Osmo device.
The premium kit is compatible only with certain iPads. You can check whether you have a compatible device on the BYJU’S Website. The premium kit consists of a selection of magic workbooks (for different subjects), an Osmo device (reflector and stand) and three WizPens (to be used while writing on the workbooks).
Three Steps to Use the BYJU’S Workbook:
Step 1: Place the iPad on the Osmo stand and fix the Osmo reflector over the iPad’s camera.
Step 2: Place an open workbook directly in front of the Osmo stand. It helps the reflector see what your child has written or drawn on each page of the workbook.
Step 3: Once you have the device set up, the app takes over and a cartoon guide (Jane) will guide kids through the workbook experience.
Each workbook comprises of a variety of learning activities to complete. For example, one activity asks kids to circle only the odd numbers, while another activity challenges kids to complete a maze through a numbered pathway in ascending or descending order, and so on.
Once the activity is finished, kids need to place their finger on a circle at the bottom of the page and the application will analyze the workbook for mistakes. If there are any mistakes kids can correct their mistakes by using the eraser on the WizPen.
Kids can erase their work and complete each activity more than once. This can help them practice their skills. Parents can also purchase additional workbooks from BYJU’S or Osmo.
The overall experience of the workbook is magical. The activities also feature artworks inspired by Disney’s and Pixar’s timeless characters from Zootopia, Frozen and CARS. The BYJU’S Magic Workbook are known to promote active learning in kids. The whole approach combines digital and physical experiences to inspire kids to engage in learning.

wow..this seems super cool. I am sure with this magic workbook, kids will be more than happy. The beast part is, it is not concentrating on only one side. Its digital and physical both. Kids feel good when they see on the screen what they have on paper.
